Taxonomy
Alastega lira was named by Cherns (1998). It is not extant. Its type specimen is RM Mo159.845. Its type locality is Möllbos 1. 3150 m west of Sjonhem Church., which is in a Homerian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Halla Beds Formation of Sweden. It is the type species of Alastega.
