Taxonomy
Amaurotoma knighti was named by Elias (1958) [Amaurotoma (?) knighti Elias 1958]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Village of Milo, which is in a Serpukhovian offshore sandstone in the Redoak Hollow Formation of Oklahoma.
