Taxonomy
Conodia acuminata was named by Stinchcomb and Darrough (1995). It is not extant. Its type locality is Locality M-1, Gasconade Formation, Franklin County, Missouri - Stinchcomb 1986, which is in a Tremadoc reef, buildup or bioherm horizon in the Gasconade Formation of Missouri.

It was recombined as Chelodes acuminata by Pojeta et al. (2010).
