Taxonomy
Gamizyga (Gamizyga) nitida was named by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Gamizyga nitida by Wagner (2023).
