Taxonomy
Sabellidites was named by Yanichevsky (1926) [Sepkoski's age data: V N-Da-l Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1006,1030]. It is not extant. Its type is Sabellidites cambriensis. It is the type genus of Sabelliditidae.
It was assigned to Sabelliditida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sabelliditidae by Ebbestad et al. (2022).
