Naticopsis transversa

Taxonomy
Naticella transversa was named by Beede (1907). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dozier (KUMIP coll), which is in a Capitanian shallow subtidal dolomite in Texas.

It was recombined as Naticopsis transversus by Knight (1940), Roth et al. (1941); it was recombined as Naticopsis (Naticopsis) transversa by Yochelson and Saunders (1967); it was recombined as Naticopsis transversa by Kulas and Batten (1997).
