Palaeacmaea discoides was named by Perner (1903). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lochkov, which is in a Pridoli carbonate limestone in the Pozáry Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Palaeoscurria discoides by Horný (1963).
