Pinnocaris lapworthi
Taxonomy
Pinnocaris lapworthi was named by Etheridge (1878). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Balclatchie Farm, Ayrshire, Girvan, which is in a Burrellian carbonate limestone in the Balclatchie Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Pinnocaris.
