A. B. Shaw 1962 | Scenella? conula presents a problem in that the older figures show only faint concentric ornamentation while Walcott's figure of 1891 shows subdued, but distinct scenelloid rugae. Aside from the possible retention of faint scenelloid rugae, the distinctive features of this species are the oval outline of the aperture, central apex and apical angle (in lateral view) of 90?. Size: 3 mm. long, 1.75 mm. high, and 2.25 mm. wide. |
