Taxonomy
Sinuopea basiplanata was named by Ulrich et al. (1931) [Sinuopea basiplanata Ulrich & Bridge in Ulrich, Foerste & Bridge 1931]. It is not extant. Its type locality is 102-e. 1 miles southeast of Eminence, on old Van Buren Rd, which is in a Gasconadian carbonate limestone in the Gasconade Formation of Missouri.
