Taxonomy
Spirodentalium osceola was named by Walcott (1890). It is not extant. Its type locality is Walcott Locality 78. Quarry near St. Croix Friver, suburbs of Osceola, which is in a Trempealeauan marine sandstone in the Jordan Sandstone Formation of Wisconsin.
