Isitella plicata was named by Missarzhevsky (1989) [= Helcionella abrupta Landing 1988 p. 684 f. 5.14]. It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Mackinnonia plicata by Parkhaev (2001) and Wotte (2006).
