Youngina capensis
Taxonomy
Youngina capensis was named by Broom (1914). Its type specimen is AMNH 5561, a partial skeleton (skull and vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is New Bethesda Commonage, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Balfour Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Youngina.
