Serpulospira paradoxus

Taxonomy
Phanerotinus paradoxus was named by Winchell (1863). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Prospect Hill, bluff above river south of Burlington, which is in a Famennian marine sandstone in the English River Formation of Iowa.

It was recombined as Eccyliomphalus paradoxus by Weller (1900); it was recombined as Serpulospira paradoxus by Knight and Bridge (1944), Yochelson and Saunders (1967).
