Taxonomy
Meekospira carinimaxima was named by Wang (1987). It is not extant. Its type locality is Weining, Guizhou, which is in a Visean marine limestone in the Bojiwan Formation of China.

It was recombined as Eoptychia carinimaxima by Wagner (2023).
