Omphalocirrus goldfussi
Taxonomy
Euomphalus goldfussi was named by d’Archiac and de Verneuil (1842). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Omphalocirrus.
It was recombined as Coelocentrus goldfussi by Paeckelmann (1922); it was recombined as Omphalocirrus goldfussi by de Ryckholt (1860), Knight (1941), Yochelson (1966), Linsley (1973), Blodgett and Johnson (1992), Gubanov et al. (1995), Heidelberger (2001), Pan and Cook (2003) and Wagner (2023).
