Taxonomy
Aclisina costata was named by Mark (1912) [Aclisina? costata Mark 1912]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Along the abandoned right of way of the Wabash railroad, near Portersville, which is in a Missourian marine limestone in the Conemaugh Formation of Ohio.
It was recombined as Gamizyga (Plocezyga) costata by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980); it was recombined as Plocezyga costata by Wagner (2023).
