It was recombined as Gyronema liratum by Clarke and Swartz (1913), Thompson (1970); it was recombined as Gyronema lirata by Rollins et al. (1971), Blodgett and Johnson (1992); it was recombined as Barynema lirata by Fraunfelter (1973), Wagner (2023).
