Pachystrophia contiguus
Taxonomy
Eccyliomphalus contiguus was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Murfreesboro, which is in an Ashbyan shallow subtidal wackestone/packstone in the Murfreesboro Limestone Formation of Tennessee.
It was recombined as Ecculiomphalus contiguus by Sweet (1954); it was recombined as Pachystrophia contiguus by Rohr (1980), Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
