Eccyliomphalus calciferus
Taxonomy
Euomphalus calciferus was named by Whitfield (1889). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Division B Beds, below the lower "Ophileta beds", Section northeast of Shoreham, which is in a Stairsian carbonate limestone/dolomite in the Fort Ann Formation of Vermont.
It was recombined as Eccyliomphalus calciferus by Ulrich and Scofield (1897).
