Taxonomy
Gyronema intermedium was named by Bradley (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Goetz quarry, Glen Park, which is in a Trentonian carbonate limestone in the Kimmswick limestone Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Cyclonema intermedium by Wagner (2023).
