It was assigned to Cyrtonellida by Bengtson (1992); to Helcionelloida by Sepkoski (2002); to Helcionellidae by Gubanov et al. (2004); and to Yochelcionellidae by Runnegar and Jell (1976), Missarzhevsky (1989), Parkhaev (2002), Wagner (2023), Oh et al. (2025).
