Taxonomy
Lytospira rectangularis was named by Kobayashi (1959). It is not extant. Its type locality is Kobayashi Locality 05. Thye San Mine, which is in a Fennian carbonate limestone in the Lower Setul Formation of Malaysia.
It was recombined as Asgardaspira rectangularis by Wagner (2023).
