Conodia was named by Stinchcomb and Darrough (1995) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem Sepkoski's reference number: 1114]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Hemithecellidae by Stinchcomb and Darrough (1995); to Hemithecellitina by Sepkoski (2002); and to Mattheviidae by Cherns (2004).
