Jedria meeki
Taxonomy
Naticopsis meeki was named by Knight (1933). Its type specimen is YPM 14157, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri. It is the type species of Jedria.
It was recombined as Naticopsis (Jedria) meeki by Yochelson (1953), Hoare (1961), Kues (1991), Pan (1997), Kues and Batten (2001); it was recombined as Jedria meeki by Wagner (2023).
