Amaurotoma subangulatum

Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria subangulata was named by Hall (1856). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Spergen Hill, near railroad station at Harristown, southeast of Salem, which is in a Meramecian carbonate limestone in the Salem Formation of Indiana.

It was recombined as Cyclonema subangulatum by Cummings and Beede (1906) and Bell (1929); it was recombined as Yunnania subangulatum by Knight (1933); it was recombined as Amaurotoma subangulatum by Wagner (2023).
