Polytropis pectinata was named by Perner (1903) [Polytropis? pectinata Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vraz, which is in a Zahorany carbonate limestone in the Zahorany Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Nonorios pectinata by Horný (1997).
