Taxonomy
Worthenopsis depressa was named by Beede (1907) [Worthenopsis? depressa]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Whitehorse Spring (Kansas coll), which is in a Capitanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal sandstone in Oklahoma.
It was recombined as Cyclites depressus by Knight (1940), Kulas and Batten (1997), Wagner (2023).
