Taxonomy
Eccyliomphalus transversocordatus was named by Stauffer (1937) [Eccyliomphalus transverso-cordatus]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Cannon Falls, which is in a Cassinian carbonate limestone in the Shakopee Formation of Minnesota.
It was recombined as Lecanospira transversocordatus by Wagner (2023).
