Mola chelonopsis
Taxonomy
Orthragoriscus chelonopsis was named by Ichishima and Kimura (2009). It is extant. Its type specimen is SMAC 1388, a partial skull. Its type locality is Haboro, south, which is in a Zanclean coastal mudstone in the Embetsu Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Mola chelonopsis by Weems (1985), Purdy et al. (2001), Carnevale et al. (2020).
