Eoscaphella fordycei
Taxonomy
Eoscaphella fordycei was named by Stilwell and Zinsmeister (1992) [TYPE LOCALITY: IPS loc. 4, Seymour Island, Antarctic Peninsula]. Its type specimen is USNM 441779, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IPS 4, Seymour Island, which is in a Bartonian shoreface sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Eoscaphella.
