Taxonomy
Pelicaria coronata was named by Tate (1885) [TYPE LOCALITY: Muddy Creek, at McDonalds bank, Yulecart near Hamilton, Victoria, Australia. Grange Burn Fm (Cheltenhamian)].

It was recombined as Tylospira coronata by Harris (1897), Marwick (1924), Darragh (1991).
