Hormospongia acara
Taxonomy
Hormospongia acara was named by Rigby and Blodgett (1983). Its type specimen is UA 2464, an other, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 10061-SD (=79RB8). ~3 m thick silicified hoirizon, 104.5-101.5 m below top, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Cheeneetnuk Formation of Alaska.
