Taxonomy
Phasianella garzana was named by Anderson (1958). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 28311, Los Baños Creek, which is in a Maastrichtian/Maastrichtian marine sandstone in the Moreno Formation of California.
It was recombined as Tylostoma garzana by Squires and Saul (2004).
