Taxonomy
Egericodium hungaricum was named by Flügel et al. (1992). Its type locality is Bükk Mountains, which is in a Ladinian reef, buildup or bioherm framestone/rudstone in the Wetterstein Limestone Formation of Hungary. It is the type species of Egericodium.
