Poroledidae was named by Scarlato and Starobogatov (1979) [Synonym of Nuculanidae H. Adams and A. Adams 1858 [Coan et al. 2000]]. It is extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Nuculaninae by Bouchet et al. (2010).
