Taxonomy
Silicula was named by Jeffreys (1879) [SYNONYMY: Radiidens Egorova and Starobogatov 1975, unnecessary replacement for Silicula Jeffreys 1870 [Coan et al. 2000].]. It is extant. Its type is Silicula fragilis.

It was replaced with Radiidens by Egorova and Starobogatov (1975).

It was assigned to Siliculidae by Coan et al. (2000), Mikkelsen (2006).
