Taxonomy
Voluta pulchella was named by Sowerby (1850) [HISTORY: Type species of Sannilyria Pilsbry and Olsson 1954 by original designation [Vokes 1998].]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Lyria pulchella by Gabb (1873), Maury (1917) and Vaughn et al. (1921); it was recombined as Sannilyria pulchella by Pilsbry and Olsson (1954); it was recombined as Lyria (Lyria) pulchella by Pflug (1961), Hoerle and Vokes (1978), Vokes (1998).

Synonyms
  • Voluta soror was named by Sowerby (1850) [HISTORY: Synonym of L. (L.) pulchella (Sowerby 1850) [Vokes 1998].]. It is extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Voluta pulchella by Vokes (1998).
