Abrachlamys toolinnensis was named by Beu and Darragh (2001) [TYPE LOCALITY: Abrakurrie Limestone (Longfordian = Miocene), Toolinna, Eucla Basin, Western Australia.]. Its type specimen is WAM 68.348 and is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Abrachlamys.
