Taxonomy
Trachydomia minuta was named by Pan and Erwin (2002). Its type specimen is USNM 127642, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Matan M48, Heshan, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Heshan Formation of China.
