Ouaoufilalites was named by Korn et al. (2003). It is not extant. Its type is Ouaoufilalites ouaoufilalensis.
It was synonymized subjectively with Dzhaprakoceras by Furnish et al. (2009).
It was assigned to Maxigoniatitidae by Korn et al. (2003), Korn (2006); and to Ammonellipsitinae by Korn et al. (2010).
