Archaeoradiolites hispanicus was named by Fenerci-Masse et al. (2006) [TYPE LOCALITY: Sopalmo, SE of city of Jumilla, Province of Murcia (SE Spain). TYPE REPOSITORY: Centre de Sédimenologie-Paléontologie, Université de Provence.]. Its type specimen is 12077-1 and is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Archaeoradiolites.
