Metriorhynchus littoreus
Taxonomy
Metriorhynchus littoreus was named by Sauvage (1874). Its type specimen is MHNB 58, a partial skeleton (fragment of rostrum, cervical and dorsal vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Châtillon (Kimm), which is in a Kimmeridgian marine conglomerate in France.
