Taxonomy
Nassa lincolnensis was named by Anderson and Martin (1914) [RANGE: Astoria Fm (Middle Miocene); Washington, Oregon.]. Its type specimen is CAS 167 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Nassarius lincolnensis by Weaver (1942); it was recombined as Hinia lincolnensis by Moore (1963); it was recombined as Nassarius (Demondia) lincolnensis by Addicott (1965).
