Taxonomy
Primaderma nessovi was named by Nydam (2000). Its type specimen is OMNH 26742, a maxilla, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is OMNH V695, Mussentuchit, which is in a Cenomanian floodplain sandstone in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah.
