Taxonomy
Pyramidella suturalis was named by Lea (1843) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

Synonyms
  • Obeliscus crenulatus was named by Holmes (1859) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Pyramidella crenulata by Richards (1962); it was synonymized subjectively with Pyramidella suturalis by Hendy et al. (2008).
  • Longchaeus (Longchaeus) marionae was named by Bartsch (1955) [TYPE LOCALITY: Pliocene deposits of North St. Petersburg, Florida MAX. SIZE: 11.2 mm]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Longchaeus marionae by DuBar (1962); it was synonymized subjectively with Pyramidella suturalis by Rosenberg (2005).
