Haikouichthys was named by Luo et al. (1999) [in Shu et al. 1999]. It is not extant. Its type is Haikouichthys ercaicunensis.
It was assigned to Agnatha by Luo et al. (1999); and to Myllokunmingiidae by Shu (2003).
