Haikouichthys ercaicunensis
Taxonomy
Haikouichthys ercaicunensis was named by Luo et al. (1999) [in Shu et al. 1999]. Its type specimen is HZ-f-12-127 and is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Haikou [Yuanshan Fm (formerly Qiongzhusi)], which is in an Atdabanian marine mudstone in the Yuanshan Formation of China. It is the type species of Haikouichthys.
