Blomosaurus was named by Tatarinov (1978). Its type is Blomosaurus ivachnenkoi.

Lachyrmal reduced, not forming part of the anterior edge of the orbit. Transverse processes of pterygoids with wedge-shaped posterior processes. Palatine teeth on crests converging toward the region of the basipterygoid articulation. Teeth conical, apically blunt, subpleurodont. |
