Taxonomy

Bullia (Molopophorus) was named by Gabb (1869) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-u T Mi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 926]. Its type is Bullia (Molopophorus) striata.

It was reranked as Molopophorus by Clark and Arnold (1923), Nagao (1928), Turner (1938), Durham (1944), Addicott (1970), Moore (1976), Squires (1984), Sepkoski (2002).

It was assigned to Bullia by Gabb (1869); to Nassidae by Nagao (1928); to Alectrionidae by Clark and Arnold (1923), Turner (1938); to Buccinidae by Durham (1944), Addicott (1970), Moore (1976); to Nassariidae by Squires (1984); and to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
